Destroying Flat Earth Without Using Science – Part 3: Airplanes

I’ve crushed the flat earth into smithereens more times than I can count, twice now without using any science at all, but how about one more? There are lots of commercial airline flights that prove conclusively that the earth is a sphere, and not a flat pancake. This is because the Southern Hemisphere exists. Let’s take to the skies!

Why all world maps are wrong

Making accurate world maps is mathematically impossible.

Help us make more ambitious videos by joining the Vox Video Lab: http://bit.ly/video-lab

Maps are flat representations of our spherical planet. Johnny Harris cut open a plastic globe to understand just what it takes to turn a sphere into something flat.

His struggle to make a flat map out of the plastic globe is indicative of a challenge mapmakers have faced for centuries: It is mathematically impossible to translate the surface of a sphere onto a plane without some form of distortion.

To solve this problem, mathematicians and cartographers have developed a huge library of representations of the globe, each distorting a certain attribute and preserving others.

For instance, the Mercator projection preserves the shape of countries while distorting the size, especially near the north and south pole.

For a more accurate view of land area look at the Gall-Peters projection, which preserves area while distorting shape.

In the end, there’s not “right” map projection. Each comes with trade-offs, and cartographers make projection decisions based on the particular tasks at hand. But if you are interested in seeing an accurate depiction of the planet, it’s best to stick with a globe.

The text-to-image revolution, explained

How programmers turned the internet into a paintbrush. DALL-E 2, Midjourney, Imagen, explained.

Subscribe and turn on notifications so you don’t miss any videos: http://goo.gl/0bsAjO

Beginning in January 2021, advances in AI research have produced a plethora of deep-learning models capable of generating original images from simple text prompts, effectively extending the human imagination. Researchers at OpenAI, Google, Facebook, and others have developed text-to-image tools that they have not yet released to the public, and similar models have proliferated online in the open-source arena and at smaller companies like Midjourney.

These tools represent a massive cultural shift because they remove the requirement for technical labor from the process of image-making. Instead, they select for creative ideation, skillful use of language, and curatorial taste. The ultimate consequences are difficult to predict, but — like the invention of the camera, and the digital camera thereafter — these algorithms herald a new, democratized form of expression that will commence another explosion in the volume of imagery produced by humans. But, like other automated systems trained on historical data and internet images, they also come with risks that have not been resolved.

The video above is a primer on how we got here, how this technology works, and some of the implications. And for an extended discussion about what this means for human artists, designers, and illustrators, check out this bonus video: https://youtu.be/sFBfrZ-N3G4

Marketing Disrupted: 5 Ways AR & VR Are Reshaping Digital Marketing

Augmented Reality potential in Digital Marketing

==)How to stay on top of mind during this crisis?
==)How to make your brand’s voice heard in the noise?
==)What New strategies can you apply to your Digital Marketing?

In this video we share with you Tips about new smart way marketers can use the technology of Augmented Reality in their Digital Marketing Plans.
We explain how AR (Augmented Reality) can drive Brand engagement and Brand love!
Also, we reveal the importance of Influencer Marketing in consumer engagement.

Augmented Reality, a popular and promising trend today, is a technology that allows you to insert a 3D elements in a real environment , among other things.
Augmented Reality can immerse the consumer in the universe of a brand. It offers a strong, memorable, and unique sense of belonging if the experience provided is great and memorable! It also allows consumers, for example, to view a product at home or to try one virtually… the potential of AR is just HUGE!
Consumers today, especially Generation Z, expect highly personalized online experiences. To offer content that matches its target audience, it is essential to focus on the format that best suits them. For example, if interactive stories can be an effective way to communicate with teens, a guided bot shopping experience may be better suited to help adults choose the best gifts for the year.

Augmented reality, which is currently booming, is one of those technologies that provide businesses with a way to significantly improve the quality of the customer experience, both online and in-store. If, at first, we spontaneously associated virtual reality with the field of gaming, today its field of application goes far beyond simple entertainment.

The pretty spectacular immersive worlds offered by this technology allow customers to try a product before buying it. Amazon has patented an online mirror that “dresses” its customers in virtual clothing. Alibaba, its Chinese competitor, another e-commerce giant, offers a virtual shopping experience called Buy +.

Case Studies: How Content Marketing Benefits Companies

Get inspired by these six brands that are leveling up their content marketing campaigns – and driving much better results in the process.

Video Content Marketing Strategy Case Study: JP Morgan

Grow Your Business With Video Content Marketing
Visit our website http://boardstudios.com

In this video I’ll share a couple of insights on the what and why behind JP Morgan’s video content marketing strategy. And don’t forget to subscribe for more strategy insights and mini case studies.

JP Morgan recently started sending email campaigns to clients with video tips like how to keep your financial resolutions, and I’ll include a link in the comments to check it out. They’re very professionally produced, scripted, shot in a studio, and even include motion graphics to jazz things up. This is at the high end of what video content marketing can look like, of course.

They also have an increasingly active YouTube channel, recently posting a few videos a week with topics like personal finance tips, but also introducing some of the people working behind the scene to humanize banking. One video a week is the minimum you can do for Video Content Marketing, and 2-3 a week is ideal.

So why are top companies putting an growing amount of their resources behind Video Content Marketing? I’ll highlight 3 reasons but there are probably more:

1. YouTube and Google are transcribing videos automatically and indexing them so they will start appearing on the front page of Google’s organic search results more often throughout 2019. Videos will be getting more and more free traffic organically. So make sure a) you post video content regularly to get a good ranking, and b) you SEO-optimize your video script, which you can do with a tool like Yoast SEO.

2. They’ve probably looked at the massive data that they have, and it’s telling them they have to shift from white papers and blog posts to video content marketing.

Pretty much nobody reads their emails and blog posts anymore, but they’re watching videos. I know because I clicked on it and it was the first time I engaged with their content. And I immediately thought – wait a minute, video really works!

The cool thing is that once you’ve developed written content, it’s just another step to convert it into video content and then market it properly. But the impact in terms of reach and engagement with video content marketing is 10-fold or more.

And 3. There’s a big first-move advantage to win over YouTube channel subscribers and precious “watch time”, which is a major metric that YouTube algorithms use to rank your videos organically. The more watch-time your channel builds up, the faster you will be growing, making it that much harder for competitors to catch up.

Many people don’t realize this but competition for video watch time is heating up. Many companies are realizing that blogging won’t help you win, and video content is where the next battle is going to be fought. How Red Bull Turned Their Content Marketing Into a Media Company

Red Bull is probably one of the most cited examples of a company doing great content marketing. But at Red Bull, they actually don’t think of their videos, TV shows, magazine, and events as content marketing. In this clip from the documentary, The Story of Content, you can see just how Red Bull has gone beyond a content marketing case study and now profits off all their content.

How To Create A Marketing Content Calendar In Five Easy Steps

Your time is valuable. In the world of social media marketing, time flies! I’m going to show you 5 steps for creating a content calendar so you can save time and money, right after this!

Welcome back, Chris Pagli here from Above & Beyond Marketing Strategies. If you have ever attended one of my Social Media workshops, you have heard me talk about using a content calendar to manage your efforts. They help us plan the types of content we want to put out to our audience and when we want to release it.

Here are 5 steps for putting together your own calendar:

1) Determine how often you want to post
2) What type of content do you want to put out to your audience? You will have to do some research to know what kind of information your audience is looking for so you can give them the content they actually want and not what you think they want.
3) Plan for holidays in advance
4) Have a content bank. I like to batch record video and produce images in advance so that I always have content in the bank.
5) Determine what content you want to release on specific days of the week.

I hope you enjoyed this free marketing tip. If you have any questions about creating a content calendar, please feel free to reach out at [email protected] and visit my Facebook business page at Above and Beyond Marketing Strategies for more tips.

The New Form of Content Marketing

We create hundreds if not thousands of articles of blog content, for what reason? Its because we want to surge traffic. But there must be a better way to get traffic than just cranking out thousands and thousands of articles. Today I’m going to break down the new form of content marketing.

RESOURCES & LINKS:
____________________________________________
CodeCanyon: https://codecanyon.net/
Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/
____________________________________________

If I go onto my WordPress, you’ll see if when I just go to my post section, you’ll see 6,978 posts, of that 6,911 are published when I go to the publish tab. But here’s what’s interesting, the blog content is great because it is generating me a lot of traffic as you can see here.

In Google Search Console is showing that I got roughly 14 million visits. And I’m ranking for a lot of different terms for example, I’m ranking for terms like affiliate marketing, where I’m getting, you know, 116,000 visits over three months.

But when I look at any term and let’s look at the term affiliate marketing, there’s a issue. It’s only searched, you know, 60,000 times a month, and I know you’re wondering here, “Hey Neil, you said you got 116,000 clicks.” Keep in mind that’s over three months that I got 116,000 clicks.

And just because you rank for a term like ” affiliate marketing,” even if you rank number one like me, it doesn’t mean you get all the clicks. You can get a lot of them, but a lot of the people who search don’t click on anything. But even then look right here where it says, “About 836 million results.”

But I want to show you something interesting, when I scroll down what is the most popular term? It’s actually Ubersuggest. Ubersuggest generates 1.421 million clicks. That’s almost one and a half million clicks over three months, that’s a lot of traffic. On the flip side, my own name Neil Patel is generating around 118,000 clicks over three months.

And if you’re not familiar with Ubersuggest, it’s just an app. And now you can type in any keyword or domain name and it gives you SEO advice or feedback.

What’s beautiful about this is in the long run it’s cheaper to build a tool like I did with Ubersuggest and get that viral traffic than it is to continually write content and update the content.

Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t do content marketing, I’m just saying creating tools is more effective than creating content. Ideally, you should be doing both. And if you create any tool it’s not necessarily going to be effective, the real key is to give away a free tool.

Now, Ubersuggest has had paid versions but you can do a lot for free. Like if I’m doing keyword research and I’m looking up a keyword like marketing, I can go and look at all the ideas for terms like marketing and all the people who search for it for free. And I can do a lot, I can even see like the related tab, get more keyword ideas there.

You don’t have to build the tool from scratch either, there’s a site called CodeCanyon. I think it’s codecanyon.net, and I’m going to actually load up CodeCanyon so you can see it here. And they offer tools on anything.

So you’re buying it and then people can use the tool on your own website and it’s white labeled. And over time what you’ll find is the tools will naturally get more links, it’ll naturally just boost in popularity, and you’ll just get more and more traffic over time.

Remember the term Ubersuggest, right? That’s the name of my tool, look at this right here. 17,000 backlinks, right, from unique domain. So, 97,000 backlinks in total but from 17,000 unique domains.

And it’s all word of mouth because all I did was just give away a lot for free and more than my competition, and that’s just helped me get more traffic over time.

So I hope this helps you with your new SEO strategy. Yes content marketing is great, but for me this is the new version of content marketing, and I recommend that you try it out.

How Content Marketing Has Evolved

how-content-marketing-has-evolved-5f1d99691e22b.jpg

How Content Marketing Has Evolved

Content marketing is always evolving. Tactics and tools and tips will change. Repeatedly. Monthly. But these century-old fundamentals remain relevant today.

Content Marketing Strategy (Flexibility and Consistency)

On today’s episode, we’re talking about the importance of consistent content creation. But first, I’m going to go get a new waboba…

All right, we’ve got our waboba, and we’re all set for a great day at the beach tomorrow. But before we do, you and I gotta have a little chat. More importantly, I’ve got a little bit of a confession to make. You see, over this last week I’ve been a little lax when it comes to consistency in regards to my content creation game.

There are a couple of reasons for this. All of them are pretty much just excuses, but I want to share them with you in order for you to avoid making the same mistakes that I have.

So, not too much time lapses between your content, because again, the key to a solid content marketing strategy is consistency.

The first reason is really just that I’m way out of my element here. I’m away from my home office. It’s a bit of a time lapse, because I’m out of my element on this island in Hawaii that’s newer to us.

Like right now, I don’t have the most beautiful background, but I figured that I have to get this content out. If I let any more time pass, I won’t be getting it out.

You’re often going to be out of your element in some regards to your business, whether it’s through travel, vacation, sickness, or another work obligation.

What ever it is, you’ve got to prioritize your content creation, and make sure that it gets on your calendar so you never miss a beat.

The other reason is, I kind of ran out of creative ideas; or so I thought. I forgot my idea journal at home, so I’m having to brainstorm things from scratch.

…Not to mention all sorts of social obligations, including family.

So, this is the reason you always want to make sure you’ve got access to your content ideas.

Something I’m going to takeaway from this is that, (while I enjoy having my content written by hand because it’s easier to record clear thoughts and categorize things better), I need to digitize this and upload it to Google Docs or Evernote.

A quick tip: any time I’ve got an idea for content, I do make sure to write it down, so I’m always carrying around some form of pen and paper, or at least my phone. You can always even send yourself a text message with the idea.

The last piece of the puzzle is that you may feel you don’t have the right equipment for the job. For this one, I want to call you out on it a bit.

See right now, I’m shooting on my travel camera, which wasn’t that expensive. I also do a lot of my shooting with the simple iPhone 7 with a little gimble. I think that costs around $100 and you’re able to get some smooth panoramas, and crisp images.

The point I want to leave you with here today is to remember that content creation is an incredibly important part of marketing your business online today. After all, it allows you to build trust, form that relationship with your audience, build brand ambassadors, and increase customer loyalty.

It also allows you to get your message out there. Make sure to prioritize it, kick those excuses out the window, and do whatever you can to create quality and consistent content.

It’s waboba time.

How Content Marketing Started – Module 1 – Lesson 2 – Content Marketing Unlocked

Today we’re going to be breaking down the history of content marketing. We actually have some really cool, fun, interesting stats for you that’ll help you make your content better, and of course, get more traffic, which is the goal in the long run.

____________________________________________

So, where content marketing really started, and started to take off is in 1895. John Deere published a magazine “Furrow” which was an architectural magazine, or agricultural magazine, sorry about that. And each issue reach millions of customers in just a few decades, making it a pioneer in content marketing.

Now this next example is one of my favorites, and this is the Michelin Star. You know how you go to restaurants, there’s Michelin’s Stars one, two, three, and over the years, it’s brands like Michelin that created this in the early 1990s or 1900s, sorry, and that was because they wanted more people driving around in cars.

And here’s another interesting concept, soap operas. And the reason they’re called soap operas is because a lot of these dramas were sponsored by soap companies and they air during the day, and it was a partnership between radio and television programming, and they created a lot of these soap operas.

And then you have digital marketing that enters the digital age because of Google, YouTube, Facebook, Bing, Yahoo, and the list goes on and on. People are now creating content in different forms, like video, audio, and it’s helped really spearhead things and now everyone’s consuming content even on devices like Alexa or Google Home.

So whatever type of content you decide that you want to go with, and choose whether it’s a blog post, or a video, or a course, or eBook, or a Forum, it doesn’t matter. There’s some things that you need to do if you fundamentally want to succeed.

It first starts off by understanding your target audience. If you don’t understand your customer’s needs, what they want, their problems, how do you write to them? How do you end up creating content that sells and helps them, so then that way they have that loyalty towards you? By understanding your target audience and what they’re looking for, you can better serve them and that’ll help you generate sales in the long run.

And once you find your ideal audience, you also want to analyze their behavior. What do they do on a daily basis, where do they spend their time? This is important because if you know that they spend all their time on Facebook, would you want to promote your content on Snapchat when they spend it on Facebook? Of course not, you rather focus promoting your content for wherever they spend their time. And the same goes, you know, it could be the opposite of situation.

And if you’re not sure where to get started, a simple way is looking at your competition. If your competition is doing something well, and you know they’re being successful, then starting by looking at their strategy is an easy way to figure out where to start. And I like doing this by finding valuable keywords.

So the first step is to go to Ubersuggest. And when you go to Ubersuggest, type in any keyword related to your field and click on the keyword ideas report on the left-hand navigation. Ideally you want to find keywords that are 40 or under when it comes to SEO difficulty, because those are easier to rank for.

So the more estimated visits they have from Google, the more backlinks they have, and the more social shares, the more traction that content has gained, which means the more popular it is. And when you’re going through it, just make sure you’re picking blog posts that are good, high in quality, and consider going out there and creating better versions of that content because that’ll get you traffic.

Now, if you pick the right keywords, your content will be more successful, get more traffic, and you’ll generate more sales. If you don’t well, you won’t do well. So I want you to refine your keyword list. When you refine your keywords, think about which ones have good profit margins, the higher the CPC, typically the more value, and the more money that is going to make you if you rank for it. I also like taking my keywords, group them together, and create content on the same topics.

How To Set Up Google Ads Shopping Campaigns …. CORRECTLY

If you are selling any products online you need to set up Google Ads Shopping Campaigns correctly, otherwise you are just throwing money away!

Know what you have to Optimise in your Google Shopping campaign every week & month with my FREE Google Shopping Optimisation Checklist: https://www.definedigitalacademy.com/google-ads-checklist

The biggest mistake that I see with Google Shopping campaigns is that people DO NOT add in any product segmentation, meaning that they just have all of their products in one big shopping Ad Group.

Your shopping campaign should follow the same structure as your search campaigns in that you should have multiple ad groups which each ad group only targeting related products.

By using this structure to set-up your Google Ads Shopping campaign you can:
– Quickly see which products are performing well and which products are under performing and need extra focus for your optimisations
– Add individual optimisations to each ad group such as negative KWs, audiences, demographics & device targeting
